If you would like to spend your time at Lake Balaton active, visiting several sights, Balaton Mix is your ideal solution. Balaton Mix allows you travelling on the railway lines around Balaton, and on the scheduled ships and ferries of Balatoni Hajózási Zrt. You can even bring your bike. Our special offer is valid between 28th April 2012 and 7th October 2012.

Balaton Mix can be purchased with 2 different validity: a 7-day version allows travelling on 2 days, a 3-day version allows travelling on 1 day; travel day(s) can be selected freely within the validity of the ticket. Balaton Mix allows unlimited travelling on the train lines around Lake Balaton, and on the scheduled ships and ferries of Balatoni Hajózási Zrt. crossing the lake. The date of travel must be written on the ticket prior the journey.

Child ticket can be bought for children aged between 6-14 years. Family ticket allows travelling for 2 adults and up to 2 children (aged between 6-14 years) together. For groups above 10 persons we offer special discount, for details please contact our sales staff.

For travelling to and from Lake Balaton, you can buy special round-trip discount ticket. The reduction is 50% of the full fare on 2nd class. The special round-trip ticket is valid for the return trip only if the number of the round-trip ticket is written on your Balaton Mix ticket. (For 3-day version Balaton Mix special round-trip ticket valid for less than 50 kms cannot be bought. There is no such restriction for the 7-day version.)

Balaton Mix can be bought in the railway ticket offices at the railway stations around Lake Balaton, and at the ports of Balatoni Hajózási Zrt. Balaton Mix is also available across Hungary at major railway stations. Special round-trip ticket can be bought at any railway ticket office.

Balaton Mix entitles you to carry your bicycle free of charge around Lake Balaton according to the terms below:

On train: Adult, Child and Family Balaton Mix ticket allows carrying 1 bicycle per person free of charge (e.g. a party of 2 adults and 2 children with a Family ticket can carry 4 bicycles) on the day(s) marked for travel. Bicycles may be carried on the train only if there is enough capacity, and only according to the general terms of MÁV-START. (Bicycles may be carried only in special cars, or at designated parts of the train. The maximum number of bicycles can be carried depends on the type of car/train. If there is no such designated area, 2-2 bicylces can be carried at the first and last door of the train, – but only on 2nd class, – without obstructing the other passangers.) To carry your bicycles with your Balaton Mix ticket, you must obtain free-of-charge bicycle ticket prior your journey at the railway ticket office. (If there is no ticket office at the place of departure, you can obtain the ticket on board.)

On passanger ships: On designated passanger ships of Balatoni Hajózási Zrt. free-of-charge carrying of bicycle is allowed with Adult and Child Balaton Mix ticket on the day(s) marked for travel, depending on the available space. 1 bicycle per person is allowed.

On ferries:Adult, Child and Family Balaton Mix ticket allows carrying 1 bicycle per person free of charge on the day(s) marked for travel.

Balaton Mix ticket bought with group discount is not eligible for free-of-charge carrying of bicycles.
